    INTRODUCTIOn

    Qualification Overview

This diploma covers technical and para-professional engineering work, with specialisation options including Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing and Maintenance, plus Aeronautical or Avionic streams in some versions, aligned to CASA and ADF requirements.

It builds on trade-level engineering qualifications. RPL suits experienced technical officers and engineering support staff who’ve built relevant skills without ever completing formal Diploma-level study.

The Diploma of Engineering – Technical (Mechanical) provides an individual with knowledge and practical skills regarding mechanical equipment, principles and electrical machinery. The outcomes include a range of computer aided drafting (CAD) skills, design specifications and interpretation of drawings for the manufacturing of equipment. Modules also cover fluid power, providing the knowledge and skills to setup and use pneumatic equipment.
