Detailing, glazing, tinting, panel and paint prep — AUR20920 is the entry-level certificate that covers the support roles in a body repair shop. If you’re already working in one of these roles, we can help formalise it through RPL, assessed by one of our partnered training organisations.
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform a range of entry-level tasks on vehicle bodies within the automotive retail, service and repair industry, covering specialisation areas such as panel and paint preparation, vehicle detailing, glazing, window tinting, and motor vehicle dismantling.
There are no formal entry requirements, and no licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification. It’s commonly delivered as an apprenticeship or traineeship, and provides a natural pathway into the Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology. RPL suits people already working in a body repair shop in a support or assistant capacity.
Certificate II in Automotive Body Repair Technology reflects the skills and experience of an individual working in the automotive service, repair and retail industry, performing repairs and maintenance on vehicle bodies, including passenger vehicles, and heavy vehicles.
