Our RPL process can formalise it without you needing to step back into a classroom — assessment is handled by one of our partnered training organisations.

    INTRODUCTIOn

    Qualification Overview

AUR40216 is advanced training for technicians who want to go deeper into diagnostics, spanning braking, steering, suspension, engine management, electrical, driveline, fuel (including LPG), and stability control systems.

Entry generally requires an automotive mechanical Certificate III, or equivalent demonstrated competency, and further pathways lead to Diploma-level automotive management or technology study. RPL is a strong option for technicians already working at this diagnostic level — we help gather the right evidence, and one of our partnered RTOs assesses it.

Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis reflects the skills and experience of an individual working in the automotive service, repair and retail industry, performing advanced automotive diagnositics on a range of vehicles.
