    Qualification Overview

    This qualification provides a trade-level outcome in landscape construction — planting and cultivating trees, shrubs and turf, setting out landscape sites, paving, timber structures, concrete, brick and stone features, and irrigation, drainage and water feature installation.

    There’s no formal entry requirement, and it’s commonly delivered as an Australian Apprenticeship. RPL suits landscapers formalising skills built entirely on the job.

    This certificate acknowledges your skills and prior learning that enables you to perform a range of landscaping practices and techniques, including a broad knowledge of soils, plants, drainage and project costing skills. The certification also includes a component of health and safety work.

    You will need to provide a range of evidence to assist your assessor to make a decision about your competence. The types of evidence you may be asked to provide can include:

    • ID
    • Resume
    • Payslips/work contract/ABN if self-employed
    • Samples of your work, including sketches, plans, quotations, tender documents and invoices.
